Abrey launch auger extensions at Cereals

Abrey Agricultural, best known as UK agents for BISO combine headers, launched what they believe is a complementary product at Cereals: the auger extension.

As headers have become wide there is a need for the combine’s unloading auger to extend accordingly.

From a safety viewpoint, an auger extender keeps the grain trailer away from the header, avoiding possible collision. It also keeps the trailer off the straw rows, avoiding compaction or dragging prior to baling.

The extender comprises a steel flight extension, typically around 30-36” according to combine make and model, a steel extension sleeve colour matched to leading makes and an extended shute with grain saver door.

The auger extensions are made in Canada and widely used in North America and Australia. There are models to fit all popular makes and models with prices retailing at £1400.
